Westpac Trust Stadium, Wellington

Nestled on the fringe of Wellington's central business district, the WestpacTrust stadium is said to be the first "new-era" stadium in New Zealand (multi-purpose venues, built to support prime sport, entertainment and cultural events). The five story oval spans an area of 48,000 square metres and offers seating for 34,500 people. Corporate boxes, hospitality outlets, VIP lounges, media facilities, members dining rooms, changing rooms and exhibitors halls are just a few of the facilities offered at the WestpacTrust stadium.

One of the big advantages of the stadium is the fact that the building and the playing surface have been desined for daily use throughout the year. This usage required not only a special building and playing surface design, but also an innovative heating system design.

Ninety Energostrip heaters from Enersave were installed in the Westpac Trust stadium to provide heating for media facilities, toilets and changing rooms. The Energostrip heaters are the perfect heating solution for Westpac Trust stadium: they gently heat large rooms by heating the objects and people within the room, rather than the airspace itself while being inconspicuous and energy efficient.

Villa Maria College - Assembly Hall, Christchurch

The multi purpose use of thus existing hall for assembly and sports meant that a heating solution was needed which was easy to install and effective given the large area, high ceiling and low levels of insulation to the walls. Energostrip heaters (84kW) were chosen due to their ability to meet the above criteria.

With the 120° spread of heat, students and staff within the hall are kept comfortably warm on cold, winter mornings whilst the robust construction of the Energostrip heaters makes them an ideal choice for a sports hall. Because they are ceiling mounted, Energostrip heaters do not clutter up valuable space in the hall.
